I don't usually go for this genre but actually, the easy going nature of the writing and the fun light intrigue of the story really appeal to me. I thought it looked like a good beach read. The plot is pretty straightforward, if a little predictable. However the story just wasn't for me. I found the characters annoying and didn't feel ahy anticipation for what happened next. There were also odd recurring bits that just didn't add anything to the story and the random Princess Diana fan was just weird. It is supposed too be a light hearted read and it is, I just lost interest. It wasn't particularly moving or emotional. The descriptions of the landscapes were interesting. The cover is appropriate for the story and is eye-catching.
