This book delivered far more than I was expecting it to.
The main character is Lottie, who, days before her wedding, goes on a road trip to America with her sister Tina.
We know from the blurb that their older sister Mia has died, throughout the book mentions of Mia crop up, but the details of her death came out of the blue for me.
The character Spike, who is introduced partway through the book, initially didn’t appeal to me, however he grew on me and by the end of the book he was lovely!
I expected this book to be very light hearted, very “chick-lit” (I hate that phrase but you know what I mean!), but it was a beautiful story of the changing relationship between sisters, their partners and the tragedy of their sister. I hadn’t read anything from this author before, but I’m looking forward to reading more from her.
