The cover is bright and cheerful and reflects its subject matter well. Why did I decide to read it? My sister is a professional dog walker and boarder and she seems to love her job. On reading it, it is in fact an almost carbon copy of my sister's story. Fed up with life in an office she ditched her job, did some training courses and set up her own business just like the author of this book.

I love the authors voice. She writes with a very dry humour which I share, and a very bubbly personality comes across. Though I appreciated that she had lots of doubts at the beginning. The first dog she looks after - a Jack Russell is described perfectly. We have one - described down to a tee including the chasing after a ball till the sun sets and it has to be that 'one' ball, no other is good enough.

I would love to read more. It's funny, it's all about dogs and their often strange owners, which I enjoy reading about and when I've read it my sister can read it and compare notes. I'm sure she will have lots to identify with.
