I loved this little gem of a book! I have a great love of dogs and all things doggy, so was immediately attracted to the subject matter, and, having read this extract, the book certainly does not disappoint!
It is written in an easy-to-read style which moves along at a pace which I found neither too fast nor too slow, but just right. There is a lovely, gentle humour which imbues the book, whilst it also contains some definite wisdom about career paths in the 21st century, and parent-child relationships, to name but two topics which are touched upon in this extract.
And then, of course, there are the dogs - surely the stars of the show (although the human characters are a fine supporting cast). The two dogs we meet in this extract are real personalities, making the whole experience of reading this a delight. I am sure every dog lover who enjoys reading about quirky and adorable canines -and their owners- would love this. I would greatly enjoy the opportunity of getting to know more about Kate’s clients and their escapades! A definite 5-star read, for me.
