This book about Kate MacDougall and her Dog Walking Agency made a refreshing change from some of the heavy going books I have read recently.

It is a light hearted look at Kate's life since leaving Sotheby's and setting up her own business doing something she loved. The book reads like an autobiography and each of the Chapters are names of the dogs walked, ranging from Frank who was number 1 and Mabel who is number 100. The time line runs from 2006 to 2014 and the story is a lovely enjoyable journey with Kate and the dogs, not to mention the various owners and their foibles.

Each chapter includes a rundown of how her life has changed at each stage of her journey and includes some reflection on how far she has come, how far she still has to go and what she wants and will eventually end up doing when she gets there.

There was not much fun and laughter along the way, which was a bit disappointment as I am sure a few funny doggy stories would have lightened the mood of the book and made it run a bit more smoothly, and kept the reader's interest.
