As a dog lover, I found this book funny in parts. Kate writes in quite an engaging way, as I could relate to some of her dilemmas. Whilst the story was ok, it does not stand out. It is basically just a book about running a dog walking service and some of the strange clients that Kate encounters. Whilst the main story is about Kate starting up her own dog walking agency in London, she also writes about her relationship with her mother and starting a family. If you are a typical middle-class woman in your thirties, who is expected to have children then you can probably relate to Kate. This is where I felt I lost interest in the book, as this type of story is nothing unusual. I felt that some parts towards the end did drag a little. I think more stories of the dogs and their antics would have made this a much better read. However, if you are just looking for a lighthearted with a sprinkle of humour then it is a good read.
