The book begins with Kate MacDougall working as a back office helper in the antiques department of Sotheby’s. After an unfortunate incident involving ceramic pigeons, Kate decides that the world of antiques isn’t for her anymore. Following a chance encounter at a barbecue with a friend who is a dog-walker, she decides that this is the way forward for her and becomes “London’s No. 1 Dog Walking Agency”.
The book is very well written, with just enough detail about the dogs and their owners and the walkers she employs to be interesting but never boring.
Each chapter focuses on one dog and their owner, and the events that occur.
I loved this book, I wouldn’t really say I’m a “dog person”, I’ve always had cats but it was so well written that you were drawn in.
It was funny and touching, with a beautiful cover.
Thank you to Readers First, Bonnier Books and of course the author for allowing me to read an early copy of this book in return for my honest review.
