So, as someone who loves dogs and dreams of working with them full time, I had high expectations. Maybe a little to high, I think thag is started off really slow getting to the actual point, it went on about pigeons to begin with. However, following this I enjoyed that each dog had their own chapter names after them, this gave a real personal feel to the book enabling me to really connect with the characters, which sounds odd as really they are fictional dogs. I am inclined to believe it is based upon a true story, however If I was able to read the full story I would hope that there were some more twists and turns in the novel allowing us to connect more with the character and her actual feelings towards the dogs. Maybe there could be a downfall in business?
In terms of the writing style, it felt much more like a diary which provided much needed personality
