As someone going into university, soon I was really interested in reading a book about someone really being true to themselves and their dream jobs. The mina character and author really highlight all the worries you can feel about avoiding stability, which is what made me really connect to it. Kate is realistic, and the book isn't cheesy at all. It made me feel all types of emotions, I was crying, smiling, and laughing all the time. Her relationship with the dogs and other characters is so endearing, and it feels great to see her grow. Something is also so nostalgic about the book taking place in the 2000s! It gives me such a good vibe, almost like 2000s movies about teenagers having the most simple and fun lives. I loved how the chapters were set based on the new dog which Kate meets, so I never felt bored while reading this book. Sometimes, however, I felt like the book jumped around a lot, which is why I gave it a 4/5.
