I have to say , this book took me completely by suprise . I knew that I would like this book , considering my love for dogs , but I had no idea I would love it this much . I read this book in a couple of hours . I just couldn't put it down . The writing was familiar and warm and the story was just so charming . I would never normally read non-fiction , but I'm so glad I made an exception for this book . It's such a feel good book, the cozy kind you read in front of the fire with your canine companion curled up beside you , and it gives you this overwhelming feeling of joy and contentment. It's a tale of family, dogs, taking risks and learning to trust yourself. I hope that Kate MacDougall writes another book like this because I would love to experience this again. I recommend this to everyone who has a little furry friend , and I hope it brings you as much happiness as it gave me .
