I'm not sure if this book was based on true events with a little embellishment or if it was completely fictional. The authors after thoughts suggested that it was all true, especially the increase in family.
Either way it was a lovely and genteel read. Nothing too taxing and fairly amusing in places. I love how the author describes the dogs and their owners as one and the same. Each dog's character has a little anecdote with their owners becoming increasingly neurotic as the years go by.
This was a tale about taking a leap into the unknown and forging ahead despite experiencing some major set backs like a recession!
This was like seeing a slice of someones life over the span of 10 years, a journal of sorts, involving lots of dogs, bigger abodes and finally accepting that being an adult requires owning a 12 piece dinner set and a gravy boat!
Praise to Kate and her doggy adventures.
