It was a nice break to read something so comforting and uncomplicated.

It begins with Kate leaving her job and creating her own business doing something she loved. The chapters are names of the dogs walked, starting with Frank who was number 1 and ending Mabel who is number 100, starting from 2006, going to 2014. It is like watching Kate's life and her business progress, and you can see the business grow whilst Kate becomes more content in life.

Despite it being easy to read, and quite light hearted, there could have been some more comedy injected and given the reader something to chuckle at whilst reading. There was so many opportunities to add in a funny dog moment, which could have made it more engaging, and was just the bit of oomph that the book needed. It just felt like it was missing that extra element, whilst it was nice see Kate and the business progress, it did feel a tad formal, and it was hard to relate to the character, as it was very flat without the comedy side.
