This book is perfect for dog lovers. From what I have read, the book goes into deep detail about each dog and accurately explains their behaviours and attitudes towards the main character. The plot seems interesting and would typically attract young teens interested in pet themes and facing work/life struggles. The book highlights the main characters struggles and represents these well. I would like to read the book further to see how she resolves these issues - especially when focusing and spending time with dogs. It is clear that not only is she helping the dogs, but the dogs are helping her too. As a reader uninterested in dogs or animal related stories, it is unlikely that I would be interested in this story. Highlighting important themes alongside the interesting dog characters is very interesting and although it doesn't appeal to me, I believe it would appeal to many readers and I would definitely recommend it to others interested in animal themes.
