Although not a novel I would generally read, the bright front cover drew me to read the extract and the title intrigued me wondering who the durrells are.
Penny has had a tough time what with the decline and eventual death of her father coupled with leaving a fiancé who was self absorbed. This trip means a-lot to her, being one she should of taken with her father. With that in mind I can imagine this novel being extremely emotional and wondering what this beautifully described landscape will reveal to her.
