The colourful cover catches the eye and feels very summery. However, the title and synopsis are bewildering as I'm unfamiliar with the Durrells.
The extract didn't feel particularly uplifting and failed to hold my interest. I'm sure this book becomes more cheerful over time but I lost interest in reading on after reaching the second chapter.
