Having loved watching the ITV drama 'The Durrells' I was instantly intrigued when I read the summary of this book - not to mention the gorgeous cover grabbing my attention straight away as it just screams summer vibes!
'Looking For The Durrells' tells the story of Penny who is desperate to get away after the death of her father and breaking off her engagement. She jets off to Corfu for a month exploring and searching for all the places that The Durrells knew decades before. Along the way she makes unexpected discoveries about the people that are living on the island now.
This really was such a lovely read and in a way it almost made me feel as if I had been transported to Corfu and was experiencing everything along with Penny. Whilst I found it quite predictable in places, it was enjoyable and allowed me to feel as if I were on holiday abroad! It is a feel good story and I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back, easy read.
