Didn’t have a high expectation of this book before reading it but what a great surprise that I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. Penny is in a one way relationship at the start of this book it is only when her beloved father dies after an illness that she decides to find herself and ditches the awful boyfriend and goes to the holiday destination of her favourite childhood book (my family and other animals) which herself and her father always talked about doing together but never got around to it, she instantly falls in love with Corfu and many or the people there especially tess, nic, Theo, spiro and finally dimitras with who she finally finds a true connection with. It is a beautifully written story or loss love and finding yourself, the setting sounds amazing and you can truest picture yourself there among them with the way they explain the sights sounds and smells a brilliant summer read
