When I picked up this book I expected it to be a fun, light-hearted summer read with humour and some romance. However, as soon as I started reading I just couldn't get into the story.
I found Penny quite boring and wasn't interested by any of the other characters either. The story seemed to be about discovering herself after the death of her father and the breakdown of her relationship with her fiancé.
Despite the beautiful descriptions of the landscape and culture in Corfu, I found I was bored after only a few chapters. It now joins one of only a handful of books that I have started and not read right through cover to cover. Usually I will persevere and keep reading to find out what happens in the end. However, there were no characters that I wanted to find out about and they storyline just didn't seem to be leading anywhere.
Overall, wouldn't recommend this book.
