I loved this, a really feel good summery read and as a fan of the Durrells I just totally appreciated the culture, exptic country and literary aspect of the story.
Penny has broken up with her uncaring fiance Bruce.
Her father has just died and she decides on the spur of the moment to go to Corfu in honour to his memory as they never got to take that much wished for trip with him.
She is instantly enchanted with the magic of the island and falls in love with the place and the people.
But then she also falls in love with one of the islanders.
Now Penny has to decide what to do next.
She has to reassess what she is going home to and is there enough for her to return to?
Or like the Durrells has Corfu abd her new found friends cast its magic spell enticing her to stay?
