I loved this story it was an such an enjoyable read. I thought it was beautifully written, with gorgeous descriptions of Corfu, I felt i was transported there. I really want to visit Corfu now although with the beautiful descriptions of the food and landscape I feel that I have now been there. The author brought the place to life for me and I could visualise the place as our main character Penny was seeing it. Our main character Penny is on an adventure to visit the places as described by the Durrell family in their memoirs and whilst there she is finding herself and working through her grief of losing her father. It was an emotional read at times but also I felt it was a hopeful story, with lots of characters all on their journey to find happiness in their lives. This was a perfect read for anyone's happy holiday especially if you were to be going to Greece.
