I loved this book it was so easy to read with an enjoyable storyline. Penny decides to go on a month's holiday to Corfu to fulfil a childhood dream to see the sites associated with her favourite books on The Durrells. This is after the death of her father, who they were always saying they should go, and breaking off her engagement to Bruce.
On the island she meets loads of new friends including Dimitris who starts to awaken feelings she has forgotten and she njoys searching out the places that the Durrells knew and lived decades earlier. This book is full of interesting characters and you learn their secrets and hopes for their futures. The book is wonderfully written that you can picture the places and imagine you are there with Penny. I recommend this book for a lovely summer read that you will be become absorbed into the lives of Penny and her friends in Corfu.
