This book is clearly an emotional one. Published by Harper Inspire, it's supposed to be an inspirational one.

And it is. Penny's love of her dad and her need to explore Corfu hit me hard. It made me want to say sod it, and go explore the country that I'd been fascinated in since I was a child.

I did like the opening to this and the chapters are wonderfully short. But the more I read...I found myself caring less and less. Which disappointed me.

I didn't expect there would be chapters in other characters perspectives. And every time it happened, it drew me away from the story. I'm not fond of multiple characters in chick-lit. And this novel very much feels like chick-lit. So it sadly didn't work for me.

But I can think of people who would love this book. If you're looking for warm, inspirational chick-lit then check this book out. Just be prepared to open your arms up to a rather full cast in Corfu.
