I adored The Hate You Give and have When Dimple Met Rishi on my to-be-read shelf so when I saw this book being compared to them I was very excited to read the First Look. I was not disappointed and I loved the first few chapters so much I am using some of my saved up points to claim the book.
I love young adult contemporaries that address current issues in the real world and that is exactly what this book is doing. I think it's really important to teach young people about these issues in a way that they enjoy and therefore fully engage with so books like this will always get my support.
I love the cover! The colour, picture and illustrations are all gorgeous and would definitely grab my attention in a store.
