I like a cover which illustrates the blurb - I find it less unsettling than one which hints of mystery. This promises a young modern-day romance but with a touch of edginess hinted at by the jagged font.

As a mature English lady I feel somewhat at home in the twin foreignness of an Asian family in Middle America due to my attendance at many Indian weddings and a recent reading of When Dimple Met Rishi. I fell right into the domestic tensions, smothering expectations and private hopes like a warm bath.

But there are those occasional stark glimpses of a completely different reality bringing in tremors of fear.
