Love the front cover - we need more diversity on book covers!
I was also immediately drawn in by the premise of this book as I know so many people who are second or third generation immigrants and can see the struggle they often face to reconcile the cultural norms of the country they have been raised in and the expectations that parents often have based on the country they were raised in. Maya comes across as a typical teenager, but there is an underlying thread of tension that I am sure will come to a head as the novel continues. So excited to read this book!
