Maya is Muslim but growing up in America. Her life seems to be on track and she might even get the boy but then a terrorist attack changes her world entirely. Maya is faced with some tough choices.
This was such an amazing read. It's so current and real. In these times the hate she suffers is so real and this is a fascinating view on those situations. The story was good, dramatic and a lovely sprinkling of romance. It could easily have become so dark but it doesn't. Maya's resilience is so uplifting.
I love Maya she's strong and driven yet vulnerable all at the same time. You really follow her through her journey and want a happy ending. There's not many other characters in this but they're all a perfect compliment to Maya.
