I really enjoyed this book. It was quite short so it was perfect to fit in my bag and take around with me to read on the bus etc.
I found the story really eye opening. You hear on the news all the time about things happening and it being related to a certain race. This book is written from the perspective of a young girl who just wants to fit in with her friends and not let her race or religion define who she is and what she can do. I feel the story shows how the world is changing now and that not everything has to be how it used to be.
At times I did find the book slow but it made up for it in other areas where I was gripped and couldn’t put it down.
I would recommend this book to everyone and would like to read more by this author.
