So descriptive you can feel yourself stood in the epi centre of this book from the beginning when Maya arrives at her friends wedding. The colours and patterns and food. Seeing through Maya's eyes. Feeling her ambition and excitement as she discovers things for the first time. Feeling torn between doing what others think you should do. What is expected of you and what you know is the right thing for you. I really enjoyed how the story unfold's.
