This book was recommended to me so I thought I would give it a try and I have seen it around so I figured why not. Now I will admit I’m not the biggest fan of romance. The romance seemed to be the only focus and I don’t know I think this book could have been more. It is meant to have a Muslim as a main character and I don’t know much about Muslim culture but I don’t think Maya was a full Muslim. In fact I didn’t really like her, I just couldn’t connect with her. This book also mentions a few movies and books and maybe it should come with a spoiler warning. If you like teen romance then I guess you will like this book. At the end of each chapter there’s a third person narrative about a terrorism which I don’t really know why it was there.
