Glad I gave it a chance

The story moves at just the right pace, and I very quickly felt invested in the various characters. The cover and name implied a fluffy romance, so I would never have tried this if it wasn't for seeing the first few chapters, but am really glad I did.

It felt like I was 'people watching' along with the main character, and I found myself wanting to get back to it whenever I had a spare moment, to find out how both the matchmaking project and the main group of characters own lives worked out. I also liked the fact that the end wasn't obvious, though still made sense. Her mother's situation felt very realistically played out, and the letter was very moving.

The first few chapters drew me in, then the next couple were a little slower, but it worked in the long run as the characters and situations needed to be set up. I found some of the slang and speech patterns for some characters to start off with confused me, and I thought to begin with that they might be editing errors, but probably for someone else who knows those phrases that might make it feel more real.

The only thing is that I feel a bit lost now it is over, and slightly want to know how the various couples worked out!
