I expected this to be similar to the Why Mummy Drinks series, which is fine as I enjoyed those. In fact it’s a bit of a cross between that and Bridget Jones, again ok. Already like the central character and feeling empathy with the challenges faced with Stanley. Looks like it will shape up to be a good read.
