This book details the life of Lucy, a cello playing musician. Since having her 2 children her life is totally different to the one she knew before. She used to be able to accept all jobs at the drop of a hat and enjoyed all the cello playing. Now her life revolves around routines, eating, nappy changing, nursery runs and sleeping. Lucy finds out that having children with all their demands is hard. As a mum I can relate to this also. The book seemed to be more of a story of the author's life and reflected her own struggles rather than being totally fictional. I didn't mind this as Lucy describes how she struggles to deal with her 2 children, 1 who is autistic. It gave me an insight into life with autism and how different children can be. It was an enjoyable read overall, with Lucy coping with the support from her 2 best friends and her husband and realising that life does go on and can be fun.
