An amazing and really well written book. It starts with cellist Lucy giving birth to her second son. She already has her hands full with soon to be four Stanley who is super particular about everything from the way his bananas are cut for breakfast to lining up his alphabet puzzles. Marriage to Ed has hit a slump with the daily drudgery of family life and Lucy's musician friends Charlie and Jen do their best to revive it. There are some beautifully drawn scenes such as Ed himself being super particular about his collection of action men and how they are handled and Stanley's meltdowns. Lucy is accepting that Stanley should have a diagnosis of autisum and finally admits this to the nursery school yummy mummy. As the story unravels it transpires that Lucy has even more on her plate as she puts two and two together and realises that it is not only Stanley but Ed is also autistic.
