In M is for Mummy, the book starts as Lucy is going into labour with her second child. From here and throughout pretty much the entire book chaos ensues. I found that the book gave an honest perspective on the challenges of life as a mother to young children and touched on many aspects of life as the parent of two young boys. The book also looked at the difficulties a mother can face when trying to maintain her independence and working life.

I thought that the book tackled important themes such as autism in a well thought out, easily readable way. I really liked the writing style and thought that the book flowed well. I liked the character development and thought that the characters were realistic and well developed.

Overall, I liked the story arc of this book and thought that combined with the story themes it was a good book of early motherhood.
