This is the author's first book and I will definitely be adding her to my list of books to read. Although I am not a mother I could still relate to this book and found that I was laughing and crying within pages of each other.
This book tackles really big subjects such as being a mother but also discovering that your son has autism, even when everyone else suggests Lucy, the mother, is pandering to Stan she knows there is something else going on and Lucy diagnosed Stan before any medical person and knew how to help him.
This book is so well written with passion and you can tell that the author is writing from experience that one minute you will go from Stan giving a massive meltdown at a party to the embarrassment of Lucy blocking the toilet at Church with a nervous poo before her concert.
I would recommend this book to anyone that wants a really interesting read and you will also learn lots too.
