A superbly funny book about finding life after kids!

The book focuses on Lucy, master cellist and mother to two boys as she starts to find her feet after having her second child.

Of course there are all the normal ups and downs but interspersed is the honest insight into the added dimension of a child that doesn’t “fit the mould” and how both mentally and physically challenging that can be. But by focussing on Lucy and her own life this is by no means the only dimension to the story.

With a great cast of supporting characters - the musical world friends, the school mums, the (all too recognisable) mother-in-law and of course the often criticised husband, you are drawn into Lucy’s world. Being a musician opens up opportunities for some hysterical rock star moments which are both insane yet believable!

Overall an utterly enjoyable read that feels written from the heart.
