I really identified with a lot of the things within this book. I have 2 girls of my own and although they don’t have autism I can so see myself in a lot of what is written.

Being a mum is so hard and after you’ve had a baby you loose a part of yourself. And for a long time I thought that I was so changed that I would never be just ME again.

Now my youngest is 5 and things have evened out. True most child related things are more responsibility as my husband would never think about doctors, dentists and whether the kids need new clothes/shoes. And my figure has never recovered from housing the two little monsters.

But like the character in this book life is good most of the time. And when the going gets tough I do know that hubby will be there and that’s the most important thing.

Mums are amazing. And every women out there that has children - naturally or through other means deserves a medal! After all we are only doing our best.

Loved this book.
