This book made me laugh, it made me tearful and it certainly made me want to give the main character a big hug. I lived this book, it is so well written and shows life how it is and made me think “ so you know what? That’s me and I thought I was the only one” It is so relatable in every way. It’s not easy trying to juggle a baby a gigging husband and an autistic (and adorable) child. But Lucy has a strong group of friends and with a good support group you can tackle the world and you don’t need balls of steel, being a woman as her friend says “ you’ve got a steel vagina”. It covers a sensitive subject in a heartfelt way showing that different means just as lovable and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being different. And most woman do not feel sexy with post baby weight and all that went with pregnancy and birth but our partners still think we are even if they are too tired to mention it. This book shows both sides, the vomit and poo and the warm fuzzy side too.
