This is such a great read I was really impressed with it. Set in present day we follow the lives of Lucy, her husband Ed and their two sons. Lucy had a career in music along with her husband but since the two boys were born Lucy's life has changed dramatically and she has struggled to find her way and adapt to this new life of motherhood. Lucy and Ed's marriage is also not great and now is the time she feels that she needs to get her life back on track. I thought the story was well written and I liked the characters and found them relatable, especially Lucy who feels that her son Stan has Autism and i can relate to all her feelings and worries around that too. The story is about family and relationships between this family and also the extended family who try and give their own opinion on what the answer is to Stan's behaviour. The story has great drama and shows all emotions and shows the highs and lows of parenthood. I would definately recommend this book if you love a family drama and can relate to being a busy parent.
