A fabulously funny read, I read this book in two days. I have a very busy life myself and often wonder how much my life will change if I have children, just as Lucy’s life has changed massively when she became a mother. She’s a creative musician, travelling around waiting for her big break, before settling down, getting married and having children, one of whom she suspects is autistic.

Lucy’s very crazy, hectic life is exactly how I’d imagine motherhood to be, and I do love reading stories about how people cope with it. Instead of hanging out at gigs with her husband, Lucy is now mopping up sick, enduring endless sleepless nights and dealing with droopy boobs. Despite this, she still finds time to recognise potentially autistic traits within her child and wanting to do something about it.

I really enjoyed Lucy's character and love what I can imagine is a very true account of motherhood
