Light hearted book
M is for mummy
Well, it’s opening line had me wondering what sort of author starts a book by talking about a fart....it set up the whole book and it’s no holding back feel. I would say that if you are a mum or planning to be one this book definitely highlights the good times and the struggles, it’s easy to read and it’s broke up into chapters that have titles, I can’t remember the last book I read that had chapter names as opposed to just numbers. It’s a very light hearted quick book to read. The cover is basic but it’s very eye catching it would definitely stand out on a shelf. The chapters aren’t too long either which Is what I love. The characters are very relatable and a lot of parents will definitely be nodding along agreeing with what is happening in the story. For me it just didn’t have the wow factor but was a nice read. This is the first book by Katy cox. I’m sure there will be many more to come.
