I wasn't so keen on this book from the start but then it started to grow on me! I felt there was a bit of negativity at the beginning but it really picked up! I love the front cover as it's attractive and the title captures the book perfectly. this book is an all-round good read; it is heart warming and funny yet it touches on subjects like autism that other authors may avoid. I felt the author has captured the characters of mother and son so so well which I assume that's because the main character is not too dissimilar to the author's family situation. So I appreciate the author showing us a glimpse of her life as well as others who are autistic or also have children who are. I enjoyed the mum's friends as characters too.I love the author's writing style as it's easy to read and as if you're there with Lucy. I would definitely recommend this book and can't wait see what comes next!
