The first chapter is a calm intrigue as to what is to come. Then the reader is plunged into an overwhelming, hectic introduction to several characters. I did have to go back a couple times to remember who was who and how they were related.
There is a nice link to the 70s, with music and fashion references, conjuring up images and memories of the time. I’m hoping the pace settles down as the story line develops and doesn’t introduce too many more characters as nothing kills the rhythm of a story more than having to refer back.
The main plot point is intriguing enough to want to read on and see what happens.
