What a treat these pages were. From the wonderfully unusual vocabulary to the vivid descriptions of holiday entertainment, 70s style, I was transported back to my teenage years. The story pulled me into a world of Biba fashion, bright eyeshadow, cheesy pop music and a hint of mystery. What was in those brown envelopes, and how were all those characters connected? This is a book which appears to have lots of layers to unwrap, temptingly revealing a glimpse of what’s to come, until the final answer is revealed.
