The cover drew me in straight away, it’s so eye catching and really gives the impression of a larger than life read! The opening line had me HOOKED! I love how the author sets her stall out in the first few pages before transporting us straight to the 1970s! Chapter One is alive with a firm sense of place, I felt completely immersed in the sounds, colours and descriptions. I’m dying to read more about this character and her story! It seems like the kind of book you’d forget your surroundings for and binge read in a day!
