I received this book as an ARC and on the front of it it says “Uncorrected Proof” - and let me tell you, I found lots of mistakes.
I’m hoping the editors and copy editors managed to fix all these mistakes before the actual release date but I’ve never been so infuriated with a book because it got things wrong. Usually it’s the storyline that annoys me but this time is was names and places and such.
For instance. There was a dog in 1973 called Star. And in the present they mentioned that it might be time to rescue another dog, which they did and called Sparrow. And then kept mentioning Star doing something in the present. It infuriated me!
Other than that, it was truly a lovely book. Proper makes me want to go and have a tarot card reading that’s for sure. I loved that it was a bit of a mystery too, who were her parents? Why did they give her up for adoption?
