I absolutely loved this book! I was so surprised of how beautiful the writing of this book is. Definitely became a fan of Ruth Hogan's writing.
The story focuses on a dual timeline, 1972 where Madame Burova, a tarot reader, takes over her mother's booth in Brighton and the present day with Billie where she is discovering the truth about her past. But includes so much more than like debates around racism and sexual behaviour in workplaces towards women.
A quick and uplifting read with so many unexpected turns where the main theme is love. I was totally transported to a different place while reading this book. The side characters were so interesting and engaging and created such a great ambience to the story.
This was such an amazing to read specially with the lockdown, can't wait to read more of Ruth Hogan's books, already have them on my list.
