I loved the idea of the story line but the actual story felt a little flat for me. The idea of including a fortune teller as one of the main characters felt promising and could of offered so much more. I would of loved more background history of the main characters. The writing although did make me able to imagine the areas in which it was set, which is definitely a large positive.
The story line felt rather predictable and didn't really pick up at any point for me. The pace remained the same throughout the book and didn't leave me longing to turn the page at all.
Overall an easy read, but lacked excitement and interest for me. Felt rather like a Sunday afternoon drama film. I would love to know what happened with the main characters, did Billie find love and happiness? Not a bad book by any means but not one that I would read a second time or make me want to look at other books by this author.
