Another great book from Ruth Hogan. I love her stories and the way she writes them. There is always a little sadness, a little love and a whole lot of humour thrown in for fun.
Told through the past and the present, Madame Burova is the keeper of secrets and the eyes of the future. When it’s time she sends a letter which she has been holding onto for a very long time, to its rightful owner.
Billie receives a letter in the post. After her parents have died, this letter threatens to blow her whole world and everything she thought she knew, wide open. Along with Madame Burova and a few of her friends, Billie discovers the truth about who she really is. A lovely tale of lost love and new beginnings. Every character has their own little five minutes of fame, intrinsically linked to the others in one way or another. I do hope that Ruth has another book in the pipeline, the world needs her story telling!
