I have read previous books by this author, and enjoy the style of story telling. You are encouraged to empathise with the characters as you read about their childhood / life experiences. You feel like you have been transported back to the 1970's as you read about their lives and how things that happened then during that time, impact them and their families in the current day. There are many twists and turns, with other "mini" stories being told around the main character, which makes you want to read more and keeps you engaged and reluctant to stop reading.
The book starts in 1972 and is fairly accurate with describing that time in history, the main character is interesting, and you do get a good impression of what their life was like and how that shaped their character over time. It is an interesting and enjoyable read, I look forward to more books from this author.
